Parks, Ravines and Outdoor Toronto

Use Toronto parks, ravines, waterfront paths and Rouge National Urban Park safely and realistically.

Toronto has substantial green space, but each outdoor area requires different transport, footwear and time.

High Park

Large enough for several hours, with gardens, trails and seasonal interest. Cherry blossom timing varies and peak days can be extremely crowded.

Ravines

Ravine routes offer shade and nature but may have stairs, mud, limited lighting or confusing exits. Choose a defined segment.

Scarborough Bluffs

Lake views are impressive, but cliff edges are dangerous. Stay behind barriers and use legal access points.

Rouge National Urban Park

Rouge is far from central Toronto and deserves a dedicated plan. Check official trail, transit, safety and seasonal information.
